Syke Cottage, dating back to the 1700s, is a deceptively spacious and beautifully presented holiday home that perfectly combines traditional character with modern comfort. Furnished to a high standard and generously equipped with thoughtful touches, it offers everything you need for a truly relaxing break in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.
Despite its period charm, the cottage has been lovingly updated to offer a high level of convenience. The well-equipped kitchen and adjoining dining area make mealtimes easy and enjoyable, whether you’re preparing a family feast or a simple supper. The inviting lounge is the ideal place to unwind after a day of exploring, whether you prefer curling up in front of the wood-burning stove or watching a boxset or film on the large smart TV with Netflix.
Adding to the living space, there’s a second lounge/snug, ideal for families or groups. This cosy area features another TV with Netflix, a Wii games console, and a generous selection of board games, books, and DVDs, providing entertainment for all ages. For something special, the stunning garden room with a vaulted ceiling serves as a second dining area and offers lovely views of the enclosed patio. This room also houses practical amenities including a washing machine, microwave, a full-size fridge/freezer (in addition to the under-counter fridge in the kitchen), and bike storage. A separate shower room and toilet are conveniently located adjacent.
Upstairs, there are three comfortable bedrooms. The master bedroom boasts a deluxe super king-size bed with an en-suite shower room—this bed can also be configured as two full-size singles on request.
