"Sandy dunes, fisherman’s huts, and smuggler’s coves - let your imagination run wild in whimsical Thorpeness. Converted from a former water tower, Seaview Heights is a bold reimagining of one of Suffolk’s most distinctive coastal buildings. Sleeping up to 20 guests across five floors, it is the perfect retreat for large families, groups of friends, corporate stays, or wellness getaways.
At the heart of the house is a state-of-the-art kitchen, fully equipped with Miele appliances, four ovens, two hobs, two dishwashers, and a wine fridge. A generous island makes it the perfect space to gather, while huge dining tables indoors and out invite guests to linger over food, stories, and wine. For those who prefer cooking under open skies, the alfresco kitchen is complete with a premium pizza oven, South African-style Braai, and long dining table beneath a modern pergola.
The interiors are designed for relaxation and togetherness, with a cinema snug, yoga studio in the lounge, and panoramic views throughout. Seven bedrooms feature luxurious Super-King beds, which can also be arranged as twin singles, ensuring maximum flexibility for every group.
Two 52” TVs with Apple Firestick apps and professional Wi-Fi throughout the property provide modern comforts alongside its historic character.
The highlight of Seaview Heights is the extraordinary fifth-floor living room, which spans the entirety of the tower and offers breath-taking 360-degree views of the Suffolk Heritage Coast.
Outside, a private landscaped garden wraps around a heated pool, 8-seater wood-fired hot tub, sauna, and alfresco kitchen. Whether you’re gathering for firelit feasts, swimming under wide Suffolk skies, or finding a quiet moment in a deck chair, this space is designed for both rest and reconnection.
Seaview Heights welcomes up to two dogs (for £50 each). This property is not suitable for stag or hen groups. Parking available for five cars.
Sustainability sits at the core of the property, powered by an air source heat pump with no reliance on fossil fuels. Please note that, as a listed building, step-free access was not possible due to planning restrictions.
Set on the Suffolk Heritage Coast, Thorpeness was developed in Edwardian times as an exclusive resort and still enchants visitors today. The village delights with its mock Tudor architecture, the whimsical “house in the clouds,” and the 60-acre manmade Meare, where you can boat between islands named after the Peter Pan stories. Beyond the gates of Seaview Heights, you’ll find beaches, tennis courts, and rowing boats - all just a few minutes’ walk away.
